The National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) in Washington recently published an incident report detailing a sighting by a north Idaho couple who managed to capture the object on cellphone video.

The NUFORC has been investigating reports of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) in the United States for decades. The agency publishes reports on its official website for public viewing following each investigation, which includes one on one phone interviews with the witnesses themselves.

A married couple in Coeur d'Alene reported a sighting to the NUFORC on August 14, just one week ago. The incident report, identified as #200185, describes a 'very large' object that appears to hover over a tree line in daylight. The craft emits multiple colors of light and appears to be rectangular in shape.

Idaho Witnesses Describe UFO As 300 to 400 Feet In Size

The one detail that jumps off the page in the incident report is the estimated size of the UAP. It was described as being between 300 and 400 feet in size.

The footage is clear, and was recorded in daylight (2 P.M.). It shows blinking lights coming from two different sides of the craft that does appear to make it look large in size.

The incident is the 17th UAP report of 2026 to be investigated by the agency. Another UAP was reported on May 9, 2026, in the Coeur d'Alene area as well.
