The weather over the last few days in the Magic Valley has been unpredictable, cold, snowy, icy, windy, and even pleasant at times. Due to the road conditions in certain areas, and the weather conditions, certain schools have decided to cancel classes at in certain counties and towns. Below are the schools that are closed for Thursday, January 11, 2024.

While many schools in the area will remain open on Thursday, they may be closing in the coming days, as more snow and ice are in the forecast. There is a chance of heavy snow beginning Thursday night into Friday. While there is no exact estimate of snowfall in Twin Falls, other towns to the east such as Burley, Pocatello, and Blackfoot are expected to see up to 13 inches of snow, with Sun Valley potentially seeing up to 20 inches.
