A man is dead after being hit by a car in Nampa, Idaho last week.

The accident happened early Friday morning at 2:25 on east of Star Road on Franklin Road, near the Amazon fulfillment facility. Idaho State Police are investigating the fatal accident:

A 31-year-old man from Kuna was walking in the lane of travel eastbound on Franklin Road. A 2006 Nissan Sentra was traveling eastbound on Franklin Road and struck the pedestrian who succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, a 25-year-old man from Meridian, was wearing his seatbelt and was not transported.

The accident and clearing of the scene blocked traffic for about 3 hours Friday morning.

Police In Boise Investigating Playground Arson

Boise Police are looking for information regarding a fire that destroyed the playground equipment at the Castle Hills Park Playground in Northwest Boise on February 6th. Boise Fire initially responded to the fire where it was determined that the fire was set intentionally.

Those with information are asked to contact authorities by phone, text, or email.
