Motorcycle Rider Killed in Southern Idaho After a Car Runs Stop Sign
Wednesday afternoon a motorcyclist was struck and killed by a car in Caldwell, ID.

The Idaho State Police have reported that an accident occurred at the intersection of Montana Avenue and Ustick Road in Caldwell. The accident happened at 1:26 PM on Wednesday, July 5th in Canyon County. The police blog gives the following information about the tragic accident:
Idaho State Police are investigating a vehicle collision that occurred at 1:26 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at the intersection of South Montana Avenue and East Ustick Road, in Canyon County.
A 44-year-old male from Caldwell, was travelling westbound on East Ustick Road on a 2022 Kawasaki EX400 motorcycle. A 33-year-old male from Caldwell, was traveling northbound on South Montana Avenue, in a 1993 Subaru Impreza.
The driver of the Subaru failed to yield at a stop sign and impacted the Kawasaki. The driver of the Kawasaki succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The accident is under investigation by the Idaho State Police. The Subaru driver was wearing his seatbelt and the driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet.
There have now been at least 5 motorcycle deaths in Idaho since Memorial Day began the 100 Deadliest Days in Idaho.
