Fair season around Idaho is always exciting. The variety of musicians, rodeo events, fair food, and carnival rides make the next few weeks exciting no matter where you are in the state.

But one of the biggest fair events is the Western Idaho Fair, and it starts in just a few days. You might already be aware of the grandstand events and that there isn’t a rodeo event at the Western Idaho Fair, but there are also free events around the fairground and the smaller stages that you won’t want to miss.

These 9 Shows Are Free at the Western Idaho Fair this Month

Once you get into the Western Idaho Fair, there’s more to see than farm animals and the grandstand shows. Free entertainment on the Garden Stage, Commercial Tire Stage, and roaming around the fairgrounds awaits. Did you know that this year you’ll get to see dragons, dinosaurs, magic, water and gymnastic stunts, a sword swallower, and you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive Bigfoot as he roams around.

When is the Western Idaho Fair

The Western Idaho Fair covers 10 days and nights, from August 21 through the 30th. Tickets can be purchased online for the fair, live shows, and the carnival.

The grandstand will be home to live music for five of the nights, and the shows are included in regular fair admission, but reserved seats are also available for purchase to any of these shows.
