There hasn’t been much snow on the valley floor, but for the most part area ski resorts say they’re doing good business this season.

UPDATE, Jan. 22: The Fremont County Sheriff's Office and Fremont County Search and Rescue says a snowmobiler has died after being caught in an avalanche near Island Park. The agencies remind recreationists to use extreme caution, pay attention to weather bulletins, and avoid the backcountry until conditions improve.

It's cold outside, but you have cabin fever. What do you do? Thankfully, several places in the Magic Valley offer outdoor-type recreation without you having to venture outdoors – or at least not too far into the cold.
