(KLIX)- The Twin Falls City Public Works department should have a new roof over their head this winter. Last night the city council approved the purchase of the old Sun Valley Stages bus barn. Its located just south of Rock Creek off of Washington Street South. The council signed off on $500,000 dollars to buy the property. It features three buildings with various sized bays. It also includes fuel storage for both diesel and gasoline. Public Works Director Jon Caton also set aside $150,000 to renovate the offices. He says the building should last the city for quite a few years.  The city had plans several years ago to build a facility near the municipal golf course but funding sources were eliminated after a court ruling. Officials said the bus facility is much better suited than their current building on Fairfield St.
