Paul Ezra Rhoades sits across the hallway from the room in which he is scheduled to die in less than a  month. His isolation cell is quiet as a worker brings in a tray of medicine. The death chamber is silent, save for the faint hum of fluorescent lights. Idaho Department of Correction officials gave the Associated Press a tour Thursday, shortly after the new chamber was completed. The state has been practicing for an execution for years, anticipating that as many as three inmates will be put to death before the close of 2013.
