(KLIX)-The Cave Canyon Fire is currently 70% contained and has burned 88,909 acres. Fire crews have been able to hold the existing perimeter to the north, east and south areas of the fire. Crews have been mopping up 200 feet in and around the entire boundary of the fire

(KLIX)- Rain on Friday has helped reduce the progress of the Cave Canyon Fire. Fire officials say evacuation orders are still in effect for Rock Creek Canyon and Dry Creek Road. The rain gave much needed relief for fire fighters

Earlier today a mandatory evacuation order was put in to place for people living near the Cave Canyon Fire. Rock Creek Canyon as well as anyone living south of Foot Hills Road is being told to leave their homes near the fire. For those in need of disaster relief, the American Red Cross is offering local Cave Canyon Disaster Services.
