The Twin Falls City Council will hear an appeal from Twin Falls attorney John Lezamiz at the City Council meeting today regarding the special use permit granted to Magic Valley Flight Simulation for a zip line in the Snake River Canyon.  news

The special use permit was approved by the city Planning and Zoning Commission in December.  Lezamiz claims there are several reasons why the special permit should not have been granted,  one being the inability of the road into the canyon not being able to handle the traffic for the new business.  The council will also hear from a committee formed earlier to study the feasibility of a recreation center in Twin Falls.  No decisions on the matter will be made tonight as the commission is merely in the information gathering stage.  The committee is studying the various aspects of a recreation center for the city as far as size, costs, and what to include in a recreation center.
