Ultrasound Demo Scheduled For… Idaho Capitol

Anti-abortion activists hope to gain attention with a live ultrasound exhibition in the Idaho Capitol today, part of their efforts to convince lawmakers to require a sonogram on women before an abortion.  Republican Senator Sheryl Nuxoll of Cottonwood announced the exhibition in the Capitol’s West Wing 53 at noon.  Nuxoll says lawmakers, their families, Capitol staff and media will be allowed inside.  This bill to force Idaho women to undergo an ultrasound before getting an abortion passed the Senate Monday, 23-12.  It’s been among the 2012 Legislature’s most-contested issues.
