(KLIX)-Two people were killed Tuesday afternoon after their pickup trucks collided head-on. Idaho State Police Rose Pope, 72, of Richfield  was westbound on State Highway 24 in a 1999 Ford F350 pulling a horse trailer. She had two horses in the trailer. Josh Burgoyne, 20, of the Rupert area was headed eastbound on SH24 in a 2004 Ford F250 pulling an empty tanker. The two trucks hit head on at about milepost 35. The two vehicles went off the southbound side of the road and were engulfed by flames. ISP says both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The two horses were also killed in the crash. The crash was about 3 miles west of the Minidoka and Lincoln County line.
