Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT- TV / KSVT- TV ) - A devastating start to the new year for a Hansen family. At around 6 a.m. Thursday, the Rock Creek Fire District responded to a call of a house fire at 2754 Rock Creek Road.

Officials tell us the family was able to make it out safely and has family in the area. Firefighters had to battle with weather conditions, the location of the fire, and water supply. Greg Vawser, Rock Creek Fire District told Idaho’s First News

"We're getting to the point of overhaul right now...it's going to take us a long time to get it out and put all the fire out right now. Everything's collapsed upstairs really bad. We're basically under control at this time. We've had water supply issues up here...there's no hydrants...we have to run to Hansen for water," said  The cause of the fire is unknown, and is still under investigation at this time.
