Everything to Know About Exciting Huge Family Fun Center Coming to Twin Falls
There have been rumors circulating over the last few weeks about a potential family fun center being built in Twin Falls. Nobody has been able to confirm it until recently, but yes, the rumors are true. There will be a huge family fun center coming to Twin Falls and here is everything you need to know about it and why you should be extremely excited.
Huge Family Fun Center Coming to Twin Falls
An exciting family fun center like no other in the state will be coming to Twin Falls and the Magic Valley in the near future. The place will be called Shenanigans and will offer a little bit of something for everyone. There are still some slight hurdles to jump over, but if all goes according to plan then anticipation will begin. Currently, the owner is awaiting loan approval and financial approval, which should be done soon, and once it is construction will begin on Pole Line behind the new Subaru dealership. Construction should take anywhere from 12 to 18 months, making the summer of 2024 the hopeful opening timeline for Shenanigans. For many, this will be a long year of waiting, but once it opens, it will be worth the wait.
Shenanigans in Twin Falls
Shenanigans will be unlike any family fun center in the state of Idaho. It will have similar aspects but will offer things no other place in the state has. The family fun center will have 75 arcade and redemption games, a 3500 square foot laser tag arena, a soft play structure called Velocity, and even games and a soft play structure intended for the little ones, so toddlers can have fun too. For the adults, there will be a bar and restaurant, as well as multiple TVs. This is a great place to go to for the family so dad can watch a game, the kids can play, and mom can have a drink while watching the kids play or watching the game as well. There will be four party rooms, making this the perfect location for birthday parties of all ages, including adults, company parties, or for bachelor or bachelorette parties as well. Hyper Bowling at Shenanigans
Shenanigans will offer regular bowling, and a unique bowling experience as well like no other called hyper bowling. In hyper bowling, there will be light-up bumpers that are used to bank your ball into the pins, and there will be special colored pins that work as multipliers, that could double, triple, or even increase your score by five times. There is no other bowling experience like it in the area, making it a special attraction to the family fun center.
Omni Arena and VR Arcade at Shenanigans
One of the most unique parts of Shenanigans will be the Omni Arena, which will be a VR-type game that can have up to four players but will be done on a treadmill, so you run in the game. There will be competitions weekly and monthly, with the possibility to win up to $2000 for the monthly competition. Practice and perfect the Omni Arena, and who knows how much you could win in the future. There will also be a VR Hyperdeck where the players can feel the wind and the heat in the game while they play. This game will also be able to have up to four players at a time.
Why a Family Fun Center in Twin Falls?
When speaking with the owner, James, I asked him why he thinks Twin Falls needs a family fun center. His wife is born and raised here and he has lived here since 1999 and they are tired of seeing places come and go, and would like something fun for families to do year around. There is bowling, a trampoline park, arcades, and putt-putt, but no place has multiple attractions under one roof. He also wants a place like this to be owned and operated by somebody that knows and understands the community and not a corporation that doesn't. Being indoors will allow Shenanigans to be opened year around and give kids, adults, and families a place to go to escape the heat, and the cold, or to have fun anytime. If things go as successfully as James is hoping, there is potential to add indoor go-karts down the line.
Will Shenanigans Succeed?
There have been many places to come and go through the years, so what is to stop Shenanigans from being like the rest? No place has ever had so much under one roof in Twin Falls, and as James stated, Shenanigans will be unlike any place within 500 miles of the area or in the state. The community has been clamoring for more to do, and instead of having multiple places to visit or more money to spend at multiple locations, this solves that problem under one roof. Tourists will come to check it out, the locals will want to hang out here on weekends, and it has something for all age groups. Parents will want to go so their little ones can play in the soft structures, older kids will want to bowl and play in the arcade, and adults will want to enjoy sporting events, drinks, food, and play as well. This is what many of us have been asking for, and it is hard to see the community not supporting it.
While the wait may be longer than many of us hope for, it will be worth it. As Shenanigans progresses, we will keep updating you as each milestone is reached. For now, we wait for approvals, then we watch construction break ground, followed by the building being built, and then await that day that we hear those magical words, 'grand opening.' Shenanigans will soon be coming, and many of us can not wait to enjoy the new family fun center in Twin Falls.
