What Should Be in the 12 Days of Idaho Christmas?
It’s time to end the misunderstanding that the 12 Days of Christmas ends on Christmas Day. They begin on Christmas Day. Don’t worry, you aren’t alone in your confusion. Many people have the same misconception.
It is time to create a 12 Days of Idaho Christmas. We’ll just update the lyrics to something with which our Idaho people can identify. There aren’t many milkmaids any longer. Sure, there are drummers and pipers (mostly in parades), but not many partridges or turtle doves come to mind in Idaho.
What Should Go Into Idaho's 12 Days of Christmas Song?
We’re looking for lyrics to fit the song, but adding an Idaho twist. A listener heard what we were looking for and submitted a most befitting 1st day suggestion. It was weighed, measured, and deemed most worthy to be in the 12 Days of Idaho Christmas song. Thanks to Megan, we now know of the most excellent Fartless Factory in Gooding.
Now, the 12 Days of Idaho Christmas has been completed. Please sing in your heads or out loud as you feel comfortable.
On the 12th Day of Idaho Christmas, my true love gave to me:
- 12 farm fresh eggs
- 11 ski lift tickets
- 10 baked potatoes
- 9 Basque sheep hearders
- 8 points on bucks
- 7 bigfoot sightings
- 6 jumpers jumping
- 5 points in Twin
- 4 new snow tires
- 3 huckleberries
- 2 canyon courses
- And a Bag of Gooding Fartless chili.
Thanks to everyone who helped in making the 12 Days of Idaho Christmas awesome. Now celebrate Epiphany.
