Spring break is officially upon us in the Magic Valley. Congratulations to southern Idaho students for studying hard and being more than halfway done with the school year.

Our area pupils deserve some much needed downtime from crunching math formulas and writing reports, to sitting through outdated educational videos and riding the school bus at sunrise. The only question many of them might have now is, what do I do with myself for the next 10 days?

That's where we come in. Let us present you with a few options to keep yourself entertained until class resumes on March 30.

The Twin Falls City Pool, although a portion of the property is still under construction, is open during the school break and offers several hours of fun in the water, including nightly swimming well into the dinner hour.

Gem Stone Climbing in Twin Falls is a great place to hang out for all age groups, and offers several walls to climb, snacks, music, and opportunities to make new friends.

The Bowladrome on Eastland Drive has not just opportunities to get a turkey, but karaoke (on certain nights), food, billiards, and other forms of entertainment, all under one roof.

Jump Time Idaho in Twin Falls is an indoor trampoline center that offers dodgeball, slam dunk basketball, and play areas for the really small children. It's a great way to have a good time and burn some calories at the same time.

Skateland also offers a good time to the public, and will be open during the entire spring break holiday for area adults and kids. Aside from just the great skating, there's other ways to pass the time there including video games.

Glow Games Family Fun Center on Filer Avenue offers laser tag, mini golf, an arcade, and other games. Kids can spend hours inside the center and never get bored.

The Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls also offers great water play, hiking, swimming, fishing, ziplining, boat tours, golfing, kayak rentals, and scenic picnic spots. Don't forget about nearby Shoshone Falls!

We hope all of our southern Idaho students have a great break from the classroom. Be safe out there.
