Police were called on Sunday around 5:20 PM that a toddler had been found unresponsive in a car in Rathdrum, a town in northern Idaho, near Coeur d'Alene. The toddler was 2 years old and after officers attempted life-saving measures, sadly announced that the child had passed.

It is believed that the child was playing and was found in the car. Family members called the police that night to notify them of the child being unresponsive. It was 92 degrees that day. The Kootenai County Coroner's Office took the child and will release his identity and cause of death in the future.
