Idaho State Police have reported responding to 2 scary injury accidents in Idaho today, May 15th.

The first accident ended with 3 people ejected from a vehicle with injuries requiring hospitalization. One of them was a juvenile passenger. The second accident is still being cleared and involved an SUV colliding with a dump truck.

Rollover Crash in Northern Idaho Sends 3 to Hospital

The first accident happened in northern Idaho near Coeur d’Alene. A few minutes after 5:30 in the morning ISP responded to a rollover accident on northbound US 95 around milepost 409.

A Silver 2006 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 20-year-old male from Saint Maries, was northbound on US9 when he drifted off the left shoulder losing control, overcorrecting and rolling the vehicle into the median. The vehicle was occupied by two passengers, a 21-year-old male from Santa and a male juvenile. All occupants were ejected from the vehicle. One patient was transported by air ambulance, and two by ground ambulance.

The crash is being investigated by ISP. Updates on injuries are usually only given after an accident if the injuries become fatal.

SUV Collides With Dump Truck In Southern Idaho: Woman Flown to Hospital

The second accident happened at 1:16 PM on US 26 at mile marker 364. The ISP blog states:

An 18-year-old female, of Roberts, was driving westbound on US26 in a 2015 Ford Edge. The Ford crossed the center line and collided with a 2010 Peterbilt dump truck driven by a 55-year-old male from Ammon.

The female driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported by air ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Emergency vehicles were still on the scene, as of 4:30 PM Wednesday afternoon, and ISP is investigating the accident.
