3 Dead: Updated Fatal and Injury Crashes Reported in Idaho By ISP

UPDATE 4/4/25: The Idaho State Police have issued an update to the accident that happened Near Shelley, ID. Two people had already died due to the accident and the 68-year-old driver of the truck has now also passed away at the hospital.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Idaho State Police have reported 2 serious accidents in Idaho on April 2nd.

Both accidents happened in Southern Idaho and just a few miles from each other.

The fatal crash involved 2 vehicles in Bingham County and the injury accident was between a motorcycle and a pickup truck in Bannock County.

3 Killed in Fatal Crash North Of Shelley, Idaho Following Update

ISP have reported that the fatality accident happened north of Shelley on US91 at milepost 119 at 4:39PM. In the report, ISP states:

A 68-year-old female from Basalt, was traveling southbound on US91 in a 2012 Ford F150.

A 66-year-old female from Idaho Falls with a 43-year-old female passenger from Shelley, was traveling northbound in a 2013 Honda CR-V.

The Ford F150 crossed over the center line and struck the Honda CR-V.

The truck driver was taken to a local hospital (per the update above has since passed away) while both occupants of the Honda 'succumbed to their injuries at the scene'.

1 Injured in Motorcycle Accident Near Chubbuck, ID

The second serious accident reported by Idaho State Police on April 2nd happened on W. Chubbuck Road to the west of Philbin Road at 6:48PM. The ISP News Release shares the following information:

A 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling west on W. Chubbuck Road.

(info updated in this sentence from ISP) A 2013 Infiniti QX56 was slowing down going eastbound on Chubbuck Road preparing to turn north.

The driver, a 53-year-old woman from Chubbuck, failed to yield and the motorcycle struck her vehicle.

The motorcycle driver, a 20-year-old male, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

ISP are investigating both accidents.
