If you live in Twin Falls, you know about the Halloween House by the Temple. Even if you don’t live in Twin Falls, but somewhere nearby, you probably know about the Halloween House.

This house puts on a show every year. They don’t just hand out candy, they gather a cast of actors and put on a presentation and create memories. But this year there won’t be a Halloween House.

Why Isn’t the Halloween House in Twin Falls Set Up This Year

The Halloween House, also known as the Alder house, won’t be doing anything in 2026. The family made the announcement today that, due to unfortunate circumstances, they will not be hosting Halloween this year. No show, no performers, and no visitors.

They also apologized in the social media post for the short notice and look forward to participating next year. That tells you how great this family is and the presentation they do each year. They need to let the community know they won’t be there.

What’s the Plan for the Halloween House in Twin Falls This Year

If I don’t hand out candy or dress in a costume - nobody cares. But people have come to expect an amazing show every year. And every year the Alders have exceeded expectations.

They've had actual pirate ships in their yard. They’ve had cast members dressed as Harry Potter characters and Disney heroes. We appreciate the gift they have given this community for years, and they will be missed this year, and we hope that whatever issue came up, we pray everyone is safe and healthy.
