ISP Cracking Down on Seatbelt Usage in Idaho

The police report specifies that the driver who survived the accident was wearing his seatbelt. Idaho State Police are cracking down this month on drivers who aren’t wearing seatbelts. They plan to warn and inform drivers of the importance of proper seatbelt use.

Proper seatbelt use is key to surviving an accident as it increases the survival rate by 50 percent. Troopers will be issuing citations but the main goal of the effort is to remind and teach the community ‘that buckling up can make the difference between life and death’.
