Paving Begins On North Washington Street

Road construction workers on the North Washington Street project have been pulling some night shifts in order to get a portion of the road paved before winter. Over the next three weeks or so, depending on the weather, crews will be working to pave the section between Cheney Drive and Wirsching Avenue. That project begins today. Roads and private driveways along that stretch will be closed during the paving process on that side of the street. Single lanes will be available for travel in each direction but ITD recommends that motorists find an alternate route during this period.
