DEQ Conducts Afternoon Burns
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – If you see smoke north of the Snake River Canyon this afternoon, don’t worry. It is likely a controlled burned.
According to a dispatcher with the Southern Idaho Regional Communications Center, the Department of Environmental Quality is conducting controlled burns in several areas near milepost 170.
“Apparently it is moving pretty quickly and causing a lot of smoke,” the dispatcher told News Radio 1310.
