The First Lady will be making a stop in Yellowstone on October 3rd, 2019 and she is in for a treat  if she is able to venture into the park and see some of the sights. East Idaho News is reporting that she'll be making the trip to spread the message of her BE BEST campaign which focuses on childhood opioid abuse, social media use, and general well-being. Part of that general well-being is encouraging kids to get out and enjoy National parks and other outdoor locations. She'll be meeting with a few different groups of youth in the Jackson Hole area.

I love her BE BEST campaign. One of the things that troubles me the most about my kids and their generation is the amount of time spent indoors vs outdoors. I know that as parents we are in large part to blame so this initiative isn't just something our kids should be paying attention to. I took my family to Yellowstone this year and it was awesome. I hadn't been there since I was in my teens and we had talked about it with our kids for years. We loved the trip and were able to see all the big geysers we were hoping for. We also were lucky to see elk, bison, plus one Grizzly and two black bears. We just missed an earthquake that shook parts of Yellowstone after we left and our visit was planned just weeks after the young girl was tossed into the air by a bison.
