As the old saying goes: some things never change. Idaho continues to grow and whether we like it or not, we're not going to slow down any time soon.
Where are people coming to Idaho from?
Most people assume that Idaho's population boom continues to be a result of Californians fleeing to the Gem State. While that is partially true, people in Washington are also flocking to Idaho.
According to the Census Bureau, an estimated 81,708 moved to Idaho from a different state in 2023. Among those 81,000+, an estimated 17,338 came from California while over 14,000 came from Washington.
Why are people moving to Idaho?
We all know Idaho is great, and there are several things to love about living there. But what's wrong with the states from which people are moving?
People may leave their home states for various reasons, including crime, the cost of living, and, of course, escaping the politics of that state.
Once you throw in the aura of living in a beautiful state like Idaho which is home to breathtaking views, amazing people, and delicious food it's no wonder why people are flocking to Idaho. Heck, maybe you don't live in Idaho and are thinking of moving here too!

We came across a report from MoneyInc that highlights the worst towns in Idaho to live in. We did notice that their study focused highly on how great (or bad) it was for women to live in the worst towns of Idaho.
