Beloved Idaho Yogurt Shop Under Fire For Honoring Charlie Kirk
There was a time in America when one could find a refuge from politics. Life in the Gem State was simpler when we didn’t have so many devices and the like, and the like/dislike button meant so much.
Today, music and entertainment are political. Some can tell your political preferences from the types of jeans you wear or the coffee you buy.
Most folks move to Idaho to getaway from the nastiness of politics. However, one Idaho city is better known for being home to celebrities like Mark Wahlberg and Kim Kardashian. No, we’re not reporting on the latest in Boise or Idaho Falls; the latest culture war controversy is happening in Coeur d’Alene.
What is Going on in Idaho?
The center of the dispute is not a church, gym, or coffee shop. But a frozen yogurt shop called Grooveberries.
I know what you’re thinking: how can anything with a name of Grooveberries spawn a negative reaction, threats, and death threats? What could cause such a backlash? Believe it or not, this locally owned frozen yogurt shop is under fire for honoring the memorial of slain Conservative Christian Champion Charlie Kirk.

The owners, married couple Chase and Sarah Gibson, shared their horrifying experience with Fox Digital. They revealed that the trouble began when they put stickers honoring Mr. Kirk's life and legacy on their cups.
Charlie Kirk's Idaho Legacy
Charlie Kirk visited Idaho several times, inspiring millions of people, young and old, to become involved in politics. The simple gesture has put Grooveberries under siege from online threats.
Most of the negativity is from the anonymous online world. Locally, the couple says they’ve received an outpouring of positive reinforcement. We applaud the courage of the Gibsons honoring Charlie Kirk. Let's hope the critics can begin to behave respectfully.
