LOOK: Sense Of Humor in Idaho Wishes Dead Deer Well
DISCLAIMER: One of the pictures below is graphic and shows an animal that is deceased and slightly decayed. Proceed with caution.
Roadkill is nothing new in Idaho. It is nearly impossible to drive anywhere in Idaho outside of city limits and not see some sort of dead animal on the side of the road. It even happens in town as well, including residential areas. It can be squirrels and birds, or something a little bigger like a raccoon or opossum. Perhaps it is an even larger animal like a deer or moose. Seeing roadkill in Idaho is normal, but what isn't normal is when someone decides to go a step further and show support for the animal on the side of the road. Recently, an animal that was lying on the side of the road received support and love, and it had many smiling, laughing, and enjoying the sight.
Dead Deer Gets 'Get Well' Balloon in Idaho
A deer that has been sitting on the side of the road for a few days out near Buhl, has been getting extra attention lately. It is not uncommon to see deer in the area that have been hit by cars, but what is uncommon, is seeing a deer with a balloon tied to it. While this might sound odd, it is comical and has many residents and those who have driven by smirking, laughing, and glad to see someone have a sense of humor. The balloon has the words 'Get well,' which the deer will not be able to do. Sadly, this deer had its life end, but it is nice to see some lightheartedness in this tragic incident.
A Sense of Humor in the Magic Valley
It seems many lately have been getting more cranky in the Magic Valley. It could be due to the heat, issues with electricity or water, or perhaps the tourist visiting constantly. Whatever the reason, everyone could use a laugh and a smile, and this proves that not everyone has lost their sense of humor. Some will find issues with messing with an animal that has recently lost its life, but overall the feedback has been one of happiness. We could all use a little more laughs in our day, even at the expense of a deceased animal.
If you want to pay your respects to the deer, it is out on Clear Lakes, outside of the entrance of Holesinsky Vineyard and Winery. To whoever put the balloon on the animal, thank you for giving us all a smile and a laugh, as well as we hope you have washed your hands since doing so.
