What Should Go Into Large Vacant Building in the Magic Valley?
Stores are constantly coming and going in the Magic Valley. Sometimes, stores go out of business and relocate altogether, or they move to a new location to upgrade their visibility or find a larger space to expand their stock. Whenever a business closes, a building sits empty, and anticipation builds, and the guessing game starts as to what will move in next. Sometimes it is exciting to think about the possibilities. At times, buildings are filled quickly, and other times they sit vacant for weeks, months, and even years in some cases. One big building is currently vacant in the Magic Valley and has been for a bit, so what should fill this huge empty area?
Laser Tag in Twin Falls
The old Ashley's building, located at 1305 Filer Avenue in Twin Falls, is empty and has been for some time. It is a massive space, but what should go into it? Yes, there is laser tag in Twin Falls, but having multiple options is never a bad thing. The bigger the arena, the more fun it can be. The building is big enough to offer a nice-sized course and even have party rooms and a small arcade as well. It would provide good indoor entertainment during the winter and be a nice addition to the town.
An Indoor Children's Area in Twin Falls
During the winter, kids in Idaho struggle when they can't get outside and run, play, and scream. Having an indoor play area where they can go down slides, jump in a ball pit, shoot foam balls, or pretend to be a firefighter would be a great way for little ones to get out and use their energy and help parents stay sane. The area is plenty big enough to be home to this type of business, and is one that parents are screaming for in the Magic Valley.
Trader Joe's In Twin Falls
Residents of Twin Falls have been begging for a Trader Joe's for years, and while not the ideal location, the building is big enough and has a big enough parking lot that it would be able to house a Trader Joe's if they decided to come to the area and not build a new building. It would be successful and be a welcome addition to Twin Falls.
Arcade in Twin Falls
There has been talk for years about potentially having some type of arcade or family center added to the Magic Valley, and with an area this size, it would make for a great arcade area. It could be a chain like Chuck E Cheese, which would fill the area nicely, or it could be a big arcade that is geared more towards an older audience. Either way, the area would be perfect for an arcade-type business.
Escape Rooms in Twin Falls
Escape rooms are popular, and there are a few in Twin Falls already, but similar to laser tag, no escape room is the same, and having multiple options would be nice. It offers a way to get out and have some fun for a date night, company parties, birthday parties, or for a fun day or night out of the house.
Furniture Store in Twin Falls
This one may not be as exciting as others on the list, but it is the most logical. Ashley's called the building home for years and moved into a new location at 1927 Fillmore Street. With already having been a furniture store, having a different one take over seems logical. The furniture market is very competitive, and having more options is never a bad thing, to make sure you get what you are looking for.

These are only a few ideas of what could fill this big space in Twin Falls. Time will tell what will finally happen to it, but for now, residents will wait and see. What would you like to see come to the Magic Valley and fill this big, empty building?
