Park in the Magic Valley Closed Again
The Magic Valley is filled with some amazing parks and places to enjoy a fall afternoon. Most residents in the Magic Valley have a favorite location to take their kids to for some afternoon fun, to have a picnic, or to escape the stress of life. For some, it may be a place in the South Hills, for others it may be a place by a lake, and for others it may be one of the many parks in the Magic Valley. One of the most popular parks in the Magic Valley will be closed once again, despite having recently reopened.
Centennial Park Closed Again
Centennial Park is one of the most popular areas in the Magic Valley to enjoy on a summer weekend, and even when the fall weather begins to creep in, it is still great for an escape from work, a place to enjoy a beautiful view, or to let the kids play at the park down by the river. It is one of the best gems in the area, and sadly, it will not be accessible for a little while. The park closed recently on September 2 and remained closed until September 11. It reopened for the 9/11 Memorial Event and was open from September 11 to September 14, but that time has come and gone, and the park is once again closed moving forward. It will remain closed until mid to late October, assuming everything stays on schedule and goes according to plan.
Centennial Park Under Construction
If you were able to visit Centennial Park during the few days it was reopened, you can see that some of the construction and repairs have already begun. The parking lot has been torn out, and some of the large logs that once divided the parking area have been removed. Soon, the parking lot will be redone to create a better space for residents who visit the park. With the temperatures beginning to drop, the time is right to do the project, and it is best to get it done before the winter weather arrives. The parking lot has long needed to be upgraded, and should make for smoother parking and a better experience for park goers moving forward.

If you enjoy visiting Centennial Park, you will have to wait for a bit to go once again. You can still go down into the canyon, but the gates to the park will likely be closed, making it impossible to get to the riverfront by car. Hopefully, the time will go by quickly and the park will be open once again soon, but for now, we will wait.
