Prepare For Pests to Invade Gem State Homes This September
The calendar has turned to September, yet the weather remains warm. Labor Day has passed, which means holidays are done until Halloween, and sadly, that isn't a holiday that gets people out of work or children out of school. While some enjoy September and view it as the beginning of fall, which it is, it is also one of the worst months of the year, and perhaps it is the worst. One of the reasons that it is a terrible month is because of the pests that will be invading your home. Prepare for pests to take over your home this month and perhaps for longer.
Pests in Idaho Homes in September
While the temperature may be warm at the beginning of the month, as September goes on, the temperatures will begin to drop. It is unlikely that temperatures will drop below freezing, but with warm weather transitioning to more normal autumn temperatures, all the flies that have been outside all summer will begin migrating inside of your home and vehicles. For those unaware, flies multiply more when the weather begins to dip, the weather is more wet, and now they are making their way into your bathrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and bedrooms. They will be buzzing all day as you try to work from home, cook dinner, or relax on the couch.
Flies in Idaho This September
During this time of year, it often feels like when you kill one fly, another three replace them. That is due to the higher rate of them multiplying during the fall. It is important to make sure to take your trash out consistently, don't leave any bad food lying around, and hopefully have no dead animals or any creatures around. While football may make many excited this time of year, it is hard to sit and enjoy a game with all the buzzing, tickling on your skin, and annoying pests bothering you for hours each day. There are tricks to get rid of them, but sadly, nothing is likely to get rid of every one unless you lock yourself in your house with the doors and windows sealed until the first freeze, and even that may not be enough.

Your patience will be tested over the next month or two, and until that first freeze comes, you will likely have unwanted and annoying guests in your home. As a plus, spiders will be making their way into your home as well, and could help contain the flies in your home. Make sure to take a fly swatter anywhere you go through your house this month, odds are you will get plenty of use out of it.
