Why Right Now Is The Best Season in Idaho
Spring is finally here, and it is long overdue. After months and months of cold weather, snow, ice, and windy days and nights, spring is a welcomed addition. The cold isn't as bitter, the snow is mostly gone, and the wind remains, but isn't as cold. While most people in Idaho look forward to spring, as mentioned previously, there are a few negative things that come with the season. It isn't all good, but despite the flaws and negativities of spring, there are still reasons to be excited for the season.
Spring Sports in Idaho
One of the best parts about spring is that sports can be played outside once again. It is the start of soccer, baseball, softball, and other sports. Saturdays are filled with the smell of mowed grass, kids screaming and running, and the fun of watching youth sports. There is something about a Saturday morning at youth sports that brings back memories for parents and is a proud moment to watch your kids play the games you grew up loving.
Going For Walks in Idaho
With the weather now above freezing, the days at the gym on the treadmill or inside your home are done. You can now get outside and get some fresh air as you go for a walk or run and exercise in the sun. It is more rewarding and puts people in a better mood to get outside.
Hiking in Idaho
Similar to walking and running, you can enjoy hiking in Idaho once again. The Gem State is home to some of the best hiking in the country, and it has been a long winter driving past the places you want to get out and explore, but are unable to. Take advantage of the weather and get outside and do some hiking this spring.
Gardening in Idaho
While mowing can be a dread, something is relaxing and rewarding about gardening. Seeing your seeds turn into little stems and leaves, and eventually grow into a plant that produces vegetables, fruit, or beautiful flowers is work, but the reward is worth it. Many residents in Idaho take pride in their gardens, as they should, and now is the time to start making your yard beautiful.
Kayaking and Boating in Idaho
It might still be a little too cold to swim in the spring in Idaho, but it doesn't mean you can't get out on the water. Take out your boat or kayak and enjoy some of the beautiful lakes and rivers in Idaho. It may start as visiting local areas for now, but it beats having the boat or kayaks sit in storage when being out on the water is such a calming place.
These are only some of the few reasons that spring is enjoyable. You can also get out and go fishing, take a drive with the windows down, and enjoy grilling out without freezing. Spring has finally arrived in Idaho, and it is about time.
