Unless you live under a rock, the odds are that you have heard the rumors about In-N-Out coming to Twin Falls. It has been a hot topic over the last month and has had everyone feeling different ways. Some have been excited about the prospect of having the popular burger chain, some have been disappointed at the potential of one coming, and some are excited, but dreading the location. The possibility of an In-N-Out coming to Twin Falls hit a major snag this week and has many wondering what it means moving forward.

The Magic Valley has been buzzing for a few weeks about the possibility of In-N-Out moving into the current location of Outback Steakhouse in Twin Falls. Is it the right location? Is it a good fit for the community? Does the Magic Valley even want an In-N-Out? On Tuesday night the Twin Falls Planning and Zoning Commission voted against In-N-Out having a drive-thru and extended hours at the current Outback Steakhouse location. The vote was denied 2-5. Some in the community will rejoice at the denial, while others are upset, but what does it mean for In-N-Out coming to Twin Falls?

While some are rejoicing today, they shouldn't be so excited yet. This does not mean In-N-Out is not coming to Twin Falls. There is still a possibility that the restaurant could find a different location, have a new vote, and get approved of the things that it is seeking. They could also still move into the mentioned location, with no drive-thru, and with no extended hours, which would be unusual for In-N-Out, which is known to be open late, but is an option. If In-N-Out is determined to come to Twin Falls, they will make the Magic Valley their home. The vote on Tuesday appears to be more of a speed bump, than a roadblock.

The vote on Tuesday night will have a major effect on what happens moving forward, but for now, the community will have to sit back and wait to see what happens next. Could Twin Falls have cost themselves In-N-Out? It is possible, but likely, that they have delayed and altered the original plan. We will update you as more information becomes available.
