October has had its first report of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) from an Idaho witness submitted to a leading national research center based in Washington State. Details about the incident were published on October 5 and involve a single witness northwest of St. Anthony.

The National UFO Research Center (NUFORC) operates out of Davenport, Washington, and has been one of the nation's leading centers for investigations into unexplained aerial phenomena for decades.

The center conducts interviews with witnesses and publishes its findings to the public on its website, NUFORC.org. The last incident the NUFORC investigated in Idaho was a matter involving three triangular objects witnessed by a former military officer on September 4 in Caribou County, in the southeastern portion of the state.

The witness claims to have seen a 'swarm' of white, orb-shaped crafts maneuvering at fast speeds and in random patterns over the St. Anthony dunes. Unlike drones, no blinking lights were seen on the objects. The witness also stated in the report that the orbs changed colors and had a haze around them, as if to emit an energy of sorts.
