
4 Vehicle Fatal Crash Reported in Southern Idaho By Idaho State Police
The Idaho State Police released the details of a recent crash in Southern Idaho involving four vehicles. The accident killed one person and injured another.
The crash happened in Bonneville County and is the second fatal incident reported in the last few days. Another crash over the weekend involving two vehicles killed one person and sent an adult and three juveniles to a local hospital. Both accidents happened about 10 miles away from each other on US26 in Bonneville County.

Idaho State Police Report One Killed in Four-Vehicle Southern Idaho Crash
Details on both accidents can be found below.
ISP reported the 4-vehicle fatal crash on Monday, June 22, a few minutes before 5 PM on US26 at E 49th N (near mile marker 338). The crash blocked some lanes of traffic for nearly five hours.
A 2019 Nissan NV200 Van, being driven by a 39-year-old male from Camarillo, California, was traveling eastbound on E 49th N.
A 2017 Dodge Challenger driven by a 59-year-old female from Idaho Falls, Idaho, was heading eastbound on US26.
A 2017 Ford F250, driven by a 44-year-old female from Idaho Falls, Idaho, containing two juveniles, was traveling westbound on US26.
A 2008 Ford Focus, being driven by a 34-year-old male from Idaho Falls, Idaho, was driving westbound on US26.
The Nissan van failed to stop at the intersection of E 49th N and US26 and hit the Dodge Challenger. The car was pushed into the westbound lanes of US26, where it hit the Ford Focus and F250.
The driver of the Challenger was taken to a local hospital, where she later passed away. The F250 driver was also taken to a local hospital by ground ambulance. ISP are investigating the crash.

On Saturday, ISP also reported a fatal accident in a nearby area of Bonneville County. The crash happened around 4:30 PM on US26 at mile marker 349.
A 2007 Toyota Tundra pulling a utility trailer, driven by a 37-year-old male from Ammon, Idaho, with three juveniles, was driving westbound on US26.
A 2017 Honda Accord driven by a 44-year-old female from Idaho Falls, Idaho, was also travelling westbound on US26.
The Honda was hit by the Toyota while attempting to turn left. The Honda driver was not wearing her seatbelt and passed away at the scene of the accident. The driver and three juvenile passengers in the Toyota were wearing seatbelts and were taken to a local hospital.
The accident is being investigated by the ISP, and they are asking for assistance from anyone who witnessed the accident. Anyone with information or dash cam footage should contact ISP at 208-528-3400.
