Fatal Crash Reported on Idaho Highway East of Twin Falls
There have been 3 rollover accidents reported by the Idaho State Police in the last week. The most recent happened Tuesday morning on the highway between Burley and American Falls.
California Man Killed in Crash Near Twin Falls, ID
The crash happened Tuesday morning at 10:04 on I86 between milepost 11 and 12 heading eastbound. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed after being ejected when the vehicle rolled.
A 69-year-old male, from Oroville, CA, was driving a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder eastbound I86 at milepost 11.8.
The Nissan failed to maintain lanes and went into the median and rolled. The driver was ejected and succumbed to his injuries at the time of the crash.
Idaho State Police are investigating the accident. An update to the story may come soon with clarification as the police report says the accident happened on I84 at one point and then says I86 later.
The fatal accident wasn’t far from another recent rollover accident. Saturday morning a semi-truck hit a patch of ice on I86 at mile marker 27, about 16 miles east of the accident today. The semi-driver was wearing his seatbelt.
The 3rd rollover accident in the last week happened to the west of Twin Falls. A car with 5 people rolled on Highway 30 late Friday night. All occupants of the vehicle were transported to local hospitals.
