New Idaho Report Reveals Which Age Group is Most Likely to Go Missing

Each year we report on numerous missing persons events in Idaho that range in age, gender, and race. There’s no rule for a group being exempt but there is a specific group that is reported as missing more often than any other group.

The latest Idaho Missing Person’s Report from the Idaho State Police shares data collected from January 1st through December 31st, 2023. The information comes from the Idaho Missing Persons Clearinghouse. A missing person is defined in Idaho legal code as ‘a person whose whereabouts are unknown to a parent, guardian, caretaker, or others who have normal contact with the person.’
