Natural Born Killers Stuns Idaho Theater Audiences 30 Yrs Ago
As far as controversial films are concerned, Oliver Stone shocked scores of moviegoers in August of 1994 when a film he directed that combined a love affair with serial murderers was met with mixed reviews throughout the world.
I remember being blown away when Natural Born Killers came out. I was 20 years old, and the film became an instant favorite of mine. The combination of Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis was a match made in heaven...or hell.
The plot of the movie was basically Woody Harrelson's character ('Mickey') meets a younger, broken Juliette Lewis ('Mallory') and the two get married and go on a murderous rampage. Lewis' character has major daddy issues, who was played by comedian Rodney Dangerfield and would be one of the final films he appeared in before his death.

The movie has a great deal of graphic violence, drug use and imagery, themes of rape and incest, and also stars Robert Downey Jr., Tom Sizemore, and Tommy Lee Jones. It's definitely not for everyone, but I have no problem slapping the masterpiece label on it; the soundtrack also kicks ass.
The film also includes some pretty brutal prison scenes, which were shot at Stateville Correctional Center in Illinois, according to Google AI.

I recently saw the movie is going for between $15 and $50 (DVD) online on sites like Amazon and eBay. Just make sure if you buy the DVD you get one that is formatted to play on most players. Some of the imports aren't compatible with DVD players made in the United States.
