Born just outside of Los Angeles in 1936, Robert Redford was a Hollywood legend and spent his final hours comfortably at his northern Utah ranch before passing from suspected natural causes at age 89.

Aside from being an actor, Robert Redford was a successful businessman who loved the outdoors, so it's no wonder he chose Sundance, Utah, as his home. He green-lighted construction on his ranch in 1969, according to sundanceresort.com.
Whether you loved him in films like The Natural, All the President's Men, The Sting, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, or another picture, he was a versatile actor who won people over with his grace and swagger.
Sundance, Utah, is located 17 miles northeast of Provo. The late actor called this region of Utah his home for over 50 years. No details have been shared yet on plans for the actor's funeral.
