Man-Made Snow Park Now Open; Epic Tubing 140 Mi From Twin Falls
For those looking for a winter tubing experience for the kids that doesn't involve driving 8,000 feet up a mountain, there's a man-made snow park less than two hours from Twin Falls that offers guaranteed powder even when Mother Nature isn't providing it. The park just opened for its annual season which will last through March of 2022.
The official winter kickoff is less than two weeks away. Snow will start regularly falling in southern Idaho soon, and that means people will be flocking to area parks and hills for weekend sledding. One park that doesn't require snowfall at all to provide sledding thrills for those of all ages is Gateway Park just outside of Boise.
Santa Clause just wrapped up a day of fun at this popular Eagle site for families that want a safe, exciting afternoon of fun on the ice. The park offers affordable fun all week long, with kids two years and younger free of charge. Kids can also ride the man-made course on the laps of their parents if they wish.
Gateway Park offers daytime and twilight tubing with passes starting at $20. They also offer season passes for those that want the most bang for their buck. Reservations are required, and can be made on the park's official website. The park's hours of operation are based on reservations made.
The season at Gateway Park is underway for the next 15 weeks. Discount tubing is offered for military personnel, seniors, and first responders.
