Meet The New Twin Falls Mayor

As of last night Twin Falls has a new mayor….City Councilman Gregg Lanting.  Lanting received a unanimous vote from the council taking over the position held by Councilman Don Hall for the past two years. 

After the most recent elections the council has some new members who were officially sworn in last night including former Twin Falls Police Chief Jim Munn who has never been on the city council.  New members Chris Talkington is a former councilman and mayor.  Shaun Barrigar is a previous council member but he was absent last night due to a previously scheduled vacation.  He will be sworn in later this month.  Councilwoman Rebecca Mills Sojka was sworn in for a new elected term after she was appointed to the position in 2010.
