BURLEY, Idaho (AP) — A Cassia County jury has acquitted a former Oakley high school teacher of charges he sexually abused a 14-year-old student in a classroom closet in 2007. Alvin Andrew was charged in September 2011 with two counts of lewd conduct with a child under 16 and one felony charge of sexual abuse of a child under 16. Jurors deliberated for less than two hours Friday after hearing three days of testimony. The alleged victim, now 20, testified that she and Andrew were putting things away in a closet when he closed the door, removed her shorts and sexually abused her. The defense argued that the victim's memory is inaccurate and that details she said occurred did not fit the timeline.
