People need to take a chill pill. For some reason, one of the most searched for Idaho things on Yahoo is an earthquake that happened here - 2 years ago.

I can't quite figure this one out. If you search for Idaho on Yahoo (not advised), one of the top things that people want to know about Idaho right now is an earthquake that happened near Challis in January of 2015. If you're keeping score at home, that was 2 years ago.

To make this even weirder, the story that is being shared all over Facebook comes from a newspaper site in Columbus, Ohio.

COLUMBUS, OHIO!

It tells the story of a 4.9 quake that did cause some property damage when it happened in 2015. Back in 2015, that was certainly a big news item for that day. But, now? Not so much.

We report on earthquakes all the time to help people in the Magic Valley know what's going on in case one of the smaller ones leads to something more significant like the 1983 Borah Peak quake.

Right now, you can rest easy. No matter what you see on Facebook, there is no major earthquake that has happened in Idaho today. Or, at least not yet.
