Deputies from Jerome County were called to a report of a man that had been shot in the leg at around 1:39 am. Monday.

When they were responding to the call near 160 West 220 North, they were told the victim was taken to St. Luke's in Jerome.

Police say the person who was shot doesn't have life-threatening injuries and should make a full recovery.

They said the suspect and victim knew each other and police know the reason for the shooting. However, because the incident is still under investigation, they aren't releasing that information yet.

The Jerome County Sheriff's Office says they're still looking for the suspect at this time.

They also say there is no threat to the public, as it was an isolated incident.
