BOISE, Idaho (KLIX)-A Buhl man will spend five years behind bars following a sting operation that caught several adults using social media to attempt sex acts with children.

U.S. Attorney Bart Davis announced 31-year-old Larry Cline, was handed his sentence on November 19, for attempted use of interstate facilities to transmit information about a minor, he will also spend five years on supervised release. Cline entered a guilty plea in August to the charge. In April Cline was caught in "Operation Snake Byte" that sought to catch online predators by using undercover officers pretending to be children online. Cline had responded to an anonymous post on social media and phone application by officer posing as a 13-year-old girl.
