BELLEVUE, Wash. -- A former Bronco football player is now out the intensive care unit at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. J.D. Aylward is now said to be recovering in the hospital's acute care unit. Aylward was found severely beaten last month in Bellevue, Wash., and his family is still trying to figure out why. An update from Aylward's mom posted on the former player's CaringBridge website says that Aylward has a feeding tube, and is giving people thumbs up and down signals to communicate. Doctors say with a lot of hard work, J.D. can make a full recovery. In 2006, Aylward played for a year at Boise State. He was part of the team that won that first Fiesta Bowl. On his Facebook page, Aylward says he graduated from BSU in 2010.
