Host for a Day at Newsradio 1310 KLIX

I'm always amazed by callers or folks on social media who believe their role in life is to belittle me.

These are people who couldn't string 2 sentences together to save their own lives. While it's true I'm hosting in a small market, I'll note there are few jobs available in an era of consolidation. Twice last year, I was offered hosting duties in a larger city (two cities to be exact) and was appalled by cost of living and pay. On the other hand, I'm currently living on a movie set & also write a local newspaper column. I'm not sure I'd get the same opportunity elsewhere.

Two months ago, I offered to open the studio to a layman. You get half an hour. I'll run the sound board for you (I run board and phones while hosting on my own). Eight weeks have passed & I've got no volunteers. I'll remind you, I've hosted 4 hour shows when phones and network have both been down. You think it's easy? For me, yes. For you???
