I have some good news and some bad news. Bad news first? There may be an incoming solar storm that completely destroys the electrical grid and ends life as we know it. The good news? Idaho will be a good place to be.

Believe it or not, this is not a conspiracy theory. President Obama issued an executive order a few days ago that stated preparations for a possible space weather event. You can read it for yourself from the official White House website.

If something like this happens, why would you want to be in Idaho? There's a new map that has been released revealing the parts of the country less susceptible to solar storms. Idaho is under the green part of the map (and I originally thought that's a good thing).

Daily Mail UK explained the map and what the dots mean.

The team was able to create their map with dots that correspond to the survey data.

The red and black dots represent areas at the highest risk, green and yellow are the lowest and gray means there is not yet enough data to map a geoelectric hazard.

Hold on, so the green isn't necessarily good? SUPER.

If this solar storm destroying everything scenario sounds familiar, that's because it is. It's the plot for the movie "Knowing".

Generally speaking, if your real life starts resembling a Nicholas Cage movie, RUN!!!
