Boise State Teases Major Event on Blue Turf; Announcement Coming This Week

It's known across the globe for being the one and only: Boise State's Blue Turf.

Call it beautiful, call it the smurf turf or call it ugly (here's looking to you, Vandal fans), everyone has an opinion on this one of a kind football field that has been home to one of the greatest 'David vs Goliath' stories in college athletics.

While the ground was for football ONLY for the first couple of decades inside of the iconic college football stadium, in recent years, Boise State University has opened up the facility to more than just college football.

Most recently, Banana Ball and a Hot Wheels monster truck show pulled into town and did their thing in front of sell out audiences with the blue turf beneath them. That's a lot of people, the venue holds over 30,000 folks!

Prior to this summer, the venue has hosted a handful of concerts: Garth Brooks, Luke Combs, and even Post Malone! Fans 10 to 15 years ago never would have imagined concerts in this place.

Now, Boise State and our beloved Blue Turf are up to something...with nothing more than a teaser post to explain it all.

The stadium posted a reel on Instagram of the blue turf, with a peculiar face watermarked across the front, and some muddied audio.

Take a listen to the audio, put those lyrics into Google, and you tell us what you think might be coming...

All we know is that the announcement will be made on August 13th; that's tomorrow: Thursday. We should note, identical posts have been made on other stadium pages, like where the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles play.
