Nampa’s ‘Dancing Cop’ Becomes an Internet Sensation

One Nampa Police Officer is being shown a whole lot of love, and receiving a whole lot of views online, weeks after a 'total dance off' took place in the Nampa School District.

We can't wait for you to see them moves that Officer Ben Branham has.

Nampa Police summarized the scene in their Instagram caption:

Tonight is the Nampa School District Middle School Bash. This competition is between middle school dancers who have worked really hard as a team for 6 weeks to learn a hip-hop routine. Each school was also encouraged to bring a BIG crowd of supporters for the “HYPE” trophy – and the gymnasium was packed.  While he wasn’t eligible for the trophy, School Resource Officer Ben Branham, several teachers, administrators and coaches brought their own hype with a surprise dance performance!

It's impossible to NOT love this kind of police and community interaction. School kids should know that police officers are human beings, too--and they're there to be resources and provide safety and protection.

It's clear that these kids are huge fans of Officer Branham!

The police department then went on to thank the officer along with all of those that work in schools, noting that working with kids and keeping them safe is a crucial aspect to our community.
