February seems like it took forever to get through, but March is flying by and we are now more than halfway through the month. Being halfway through March means it is time to celebrate St Patrick's Day, and Twin Falls does a good job of enjoying the holiday. This year is no different and there will be festivities all day long in Twin to celebrate, including a festival downtown that everyone should stop by. Here is everything you need to know about the St Patrick's Day festival taking place today.

The St Patrick's Day Festival is back this year and will be taking place in downtown Twin Falls. The festivities begin at noon today, and it is sponsored by O'Dunken's Draught House. There will be multiple vendors on Main, such as Porked Out, Twin Blades Axes Throwing, Cow Dog Cotton Candy, and much more. There will be a live dance party around 4:30 PM put on by Ground Control. Cloverleaf will be having its specials during the festival, such as beer, wine, ice cream, and beer floats. There will be live music, food, drinks, and of course a parade.

The parade will take place downtown as well, and will begin around 5 PM. Like most parades in the area, it is best to get there early to get a good seat and bring a bag for the kiddos to put all the candy and free things in you may get during the parade. Once it is over, head on over to O'Dunken's for some corned beef and cabbage to celebrate the holiday the right way.

Not everyone views St Patrick's Day as a holiday or as a big deal, but you try telling that to everyone having fun later today and tonight. Having the holiday fall on Friday is the best way to end the week. Don't forget to wear green today, and make sure to stop by downtown for a fun time, a drink or two, to do an Irish jig, and to enjoy the parade. Happy St Patrick's Day.
